don’t even try to tell me there wasn’t.  you saw the way it was filmed.  the way they very pointedly had him go off on his own, away from the others, out into the garage.  you saw the way he looked back at them, his eyes uncertain, his steps unsteady.  i’ll bet you anything that jason rothenberg wanted to put another death on clarke’s conscience, wanted to use jasper to put truth to ALIE’s words that some people would choose the city of light over the real world if given the choice.

thankfully, either he changed his mind or somebody higher up saw the shitstorm he created by killing off lexa and lincoln and rightfully fucking vetoed that grimdark bullshit.
