Ya’ll….she let a bomb drop on Ton D.C to keep Bellamy safe. That was literally the entire reason. 

She literally did not care about the grounder army when they came upon the massacre once Indra informed her Bellamy was present. 

When she sneaked into Arkadia to talk to him she literally said “This isn’t you.”

She literally tried to force the Commander chip on Luna even though Luna wanted nothing to do with it. 

She was going to kill Emerson and didn’t care what the cost was. L/xa herself even said “So blood must not have blood applies only when it is my people who bleed.” Even L/xa knew Clarke didn’t care about her people. 

She was willing to go search Grounder villages for any Nightblood she could find. Octavia and Bellamy both had to refuse her plan and even then she walked off in anger. Octavia says directly “No, Clarke. If ALIE can find us on Luna’s rig, then she can find us anywhere. I won’t help you destroy another innocent Grounder village.”

She canonically told Bellamy that she trusted him even after the aforementioned massacre. 

Bellamy was the first person ALIE!Abby thought to use to break Clarke, even though Abby as her mother should have been just as (if not more so) damaging

It is canon fact that Clarke and L/xa both never cared all that much for each other’s people. 

L/xa left Clarke’s people to die in Mt. Weather. 

Both of the below happened after L/xa swore fealty to Clarke and swore to treat her (Clarke’s) people as her own.

L/xa wanted to raze Arkadia to the ground in “Hakeldama” after finding out about the massacre.

L/xa imposed the blockade on Arkadia in “Thirteen” and said if they stepped outside of 5 miles they were to be killed. 

That’s exactly why they were never “soulmates”. It’s why they would always have been star crossed lovers. If they ever actually wanted to be together one or both of them would have had to walk away from their people forever. We saw in Season 3A how isolated Clarke was from her people while she was with L/xa. L/xa would never give up being the Commander so she and Clarke could be together, nor would she ever move to and live among the people of Arkadia.

Like….this is what happens when you a. didn’t watch Season 1 because L/xa wasn’t in it, b. only watched the pieces of the show she was in, c. chose to ignore canon facts about the characters in your ship to make their love more believable or d., invented your own “canon” facts about the characters in your ship (and the characters not in your ship because you saw them as a threat to your ship-read as Bellamy)
